Age Groups
For the benefit of those who may be unfamiliar with the system of age groups, I will explain how it works.
In order to conform to the practice in most schools, Colts are organised into age groups based on their ages at August 31st in the preceding year. Thus, for example, a child whose tenth birthday was on or before August 31st, 1997 will be classed as under 11 whereas, if his or her tenth birthday is on or after September 1st, 1997 the child will be classed as under 10.
